Stillwater board approves NYSEG easement, schedules development hearing

NY STILLWATER — Stillwater Town Board approves NYSEG easement and schedules Scenic View amendment hearing. Supervisor Ed Kinowski and the five-member board unanimously approved Resolution No. 28, authorizing a nonexclusive utility easement to NYSEG along Shenandoah Drive for electrical and communications infrastructure. The board also unanimously scheduled a public hearing for 7 p.m. on May 7, 2026 on an amendment to the Scenic View Planned Development District legislation, allowing sewer line rerouting with the addition of a service line east to High Street approximately 1,000 feet as recommended by the Town Planning Board.

The board tabled a property tax exemption request from the City of Mechanicville pending further discussion.
