Stillwater Board approves farm conservation easements protecting 65 acres

NY STILLWATER — Stillwater Town Board backs conservation easements for 65 acres of farmland. Supervisor Ed Kinowski and Councilmembers Jennifer Weaver and Williams unanimously endorsed Saratoga PLAN applications to the Saratoga County Farmland Protection and Open Space Grants Program protecting the Broestler Farm at 88 Durham Rd and the Frank/Gonzalez Farm at 65 Durham Rd, with the town serving as pass-through for grant funding. Both properties feature productive soils and meet county criteria.
The board also approved $165,453 in budget adjustments, including $157,758 recovered from insurance following a Browns Beach dock loss and $2,695 for a new parks trailer.
