Stillwater advances $2.8 million water infrastructure plan

NY STILLWATER — Stillwater closes public hearing on $2.8 million water infrastructure plan. Supervisor Ed Kinowski detailed three district improvements including a jockey pump system, new water main on Graves Road creating a hydraulic loop, and Phase 3 Riverside pipeline replacement serving 1,267 parcels. Combined annual debt service would total approximately $384,000, or roughly $157 per household yearly, bringing total annual water costs to $727.23.
The town anticipates federal EPA reimbursement after project completion. Formal approval is deferred to March 19. The board unanimously approved three additional resolutions, including a Malta-Stillwater EMS ambulance service agreement for 2026 through 2028 and Personnel Manual amendments regarding health insurance coverage for elected officials and the Chief of Police.
